COUNTY LOCAL LAWS lands of the State Highway Administration. The property is shown and designated on
County Tax Map No. 28 as Parcel Nos. 35,119, 120, 121, 122, 196, 184, 237 and Parcel
"E" designated as a service road; said property is to be re-zoned from A-1
Agricultural-Rural to LB-1 Light Business and Institutional C-2 GENERAL
COMMERCIAL.
Bill No. 2005-4 AN ACT to amend Chapter 5 of the Wicomico County Code, entitled "Airport
Commission", Section 5-9, entitled "Powers and duties" to correct the reference to the
Maryland Annotated Code which authorizes the Commission and to permit the
Commission to apply for, accept and execute the necessary agreements for receipt of
grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Maryland Aviation
Administration.
Bill No. 2005-5 AN ACT to amend Chapter 117 of the Wicomico County Code, titled "Building
Construction" Section 117-3, titled "Adoption of standards by reference," Section
117-5, titled "Modifications and amendments to code" to adopt as the Building Code
for Wicomico County the 2003 Edition of the International Building Code and the
International Residential Code, with modifications, regulating and controlling the
design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair,
location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of building systems;
and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore, and Section
117-7, titled "Violations and penalties" establishing certain violations as "civil
infractions."
Bill No. 2005-6 AN ACT to adopt a Hazardous Materials law for the purpose of supporting those
agencies with the municipalities and county which are charged with the
responsibility of responding to incidents involving hazardous materials and thereby
incur unexpected budgetary expenditures, by providing for cost recovery for response
and recovery efforts related to hazardous materials incidents; providing for liability
for costs; and providing for collection and disbursement of funds for cost recovery.
Bill No. 2005-7 AN ACT to amend Chapter 203, of the Wicomico County Code, entitled
"Taxation," by creating Article XI, Section 203-24, entitled "Imposition and Rate of
User Fee" and Section 203-25, entitled "Dedication" imposing a Five percent (5%)
user fee on charges for ticketed events at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic
Center and dedicating the revenue to the physical improvement and renovation of the
Civic Center.
