(Senate Bill 32)
AN ACT concerning
State of Emergency - Health Care Practitioners - Credentialing Programs
for Emergency Preparedness Licensing, Certifying, and Credentialing
FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to
coordinate with certain health occupations boards to develop a process to
license, certify, or credential certain health care practitioners under certain
circumstances: including certain emergency preparedness credentialing
programs a certain process for licensing, certifying, and credentialing certain
health care practitioners among the training programs that the Governor is
authorized to institute in the event of a state of emergency; and generally
relating to emergency preparedness credentialing programs training programs
for health care practitioners during a state of emergency.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

18-903.
(c) The Secretary shall COORDINATE WITH THE HEALTH OCCUPATIONS
BOARDS TO develop a process to license, certify, or credential BOTH LICENSED health
care practitioners AND OUT-OF-STATE HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS who may be
needed to respond to a catastrophic health emergency.
