       Grant unto your orat.r her Majestys Writt of Injunction to be unto the
       said Vernon his attorney and Counsell.r directed Comanding them to surcease
       from any further proceedings at Comon Law against your orat.r on the Verdict  
       afd untill your orat.rs Complaint shall in Equity be heard in this high & honble
       Court and he be releived therein according to right and Conscience and that the
       said Christopher Vernon may true and perfect answ.r make to all and singular
       the Matters in this Bill Contained May it also please your Excy to grant unto
       your orat.r her Majestys Writt of Sup.a to the said Vernon directed Comanding
       him under a Certain penalty at a Certain day to be & personally appear in
       this high and honble Court true and perfect answ.r upon his Corporall Oath
       to all the Matters and things in this bill sett forth to make as if hereby
       perticularly interrogated  And to stand to and abide such Decree as your Excy
       on a full hearing shall think fitt to make for your orat.rs Releif herein
       and he shall ever pray         W Bladen

             Whereupon the said Christopher Vernon for Answ.r thereunto saith
       it may be true that the said John Hall in the Bill named many years since was
       possessed in Fee of a Tract of Land called Marshes Seat containing as in the Bill
       And that he sold the same to a Certain Thomas Knighton and his heires as in the
       Bill is sett forth which said Tract of Land called Marshes Seat this Defendant
       Purchased of Thomas Knighton the son and heir of the afd Thomas for the
       Consideration of the sum of Ninety pounds sterl and four thousand pounds of
       Tobacco by this Defend.t well and truely paid about Nine or Tenn Years since
       for which Consideration the said Thomas the son by his Indeture bearing date
       the Nineteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord 1701 Lawfully
       Executed and made between the said Thomas Knighton the son by the name
       of Thomas Knighton of Herring Creek in Ann Arundell County in the province of
       Maryland Planter son and heir of Thomas Knighton late of Ann Arundell
       County Inholder decd and Dorothy the wife of the first Named Thomas Knighton
       of the one part and this Defend.t by the Name of Christopher Vernon of the
       same place County and Province Planter of the other Part  And w.ras
