537 Decree Ann by the Grace of God of England France for Teigue and Ireland Queen Defend.r of the Faith &c Riggen To Martha Jones of Somersett County Adm.rx ag.t of all & singular the Goods & Chattells Rights and Martha Creditts which were of Thomas Jones of Somersett Jones County dec.d who dyed Intestate Whereas Teague Riggan of Somersett County did lately exhibit unto us in our high Court of Chancery his Certain Bill of Complain ag.t you the said Martha thereby praying to be relieved ag.t y.e double payment of 7000.ℓ tob.o which he had formerly paid to Cap.t Henry Smith to whom the same was due & w.ch was afterwards unjustly condmn'd in the s.d Teaques Hands towards satisfaction of a certain Judgm.t obtained by Tho.s Jones yo.r Intestate in his lifetime ag.t y.e s.d Smith & the s.d Teague thereupon executed contrary to all Equity ^Right^ & good Conscience upon the reading of which Bill & yo.r Answer thereto & hearing the Pleadings on both sides for that it appeard that y.e said 7000.ℓ tob.o was unjustly extested from the s.d ^Teague^ by the said Tho.s Jones in his lifetime We do sentence & declare that you the said Martha do pay to the s.d Teague Riggan out of the Estate of the s.d Tho.s Jones dec.d in yo.r hands remaining as well the sum of 7000.ℓ Tob.o as his reasonable Costs by him obtained in this behalf expended amounting to the sum of 2096 pds Tob.o hereof &c Wittness Jn.o Seymour Esq.r Keeper of our great seal in the Province of Maryland on the 4.th day of 7.ber in 4.th year of our Reign Anno Dni 1705
