271 Comand was given to the sheriffe of Calvert County That Whereas by certaine order made in the High Court of Chancery the sixth day of May anno Domini 1682 In a cause there then depending between Joseph Tilley Comp.lt and George Parker defendant Itt was for the reasons therein contained ordered That a Comission should issue to the said sheriffe to be Directed Forthwith to putt and Keepe the said George Parker the defendant in the quiett and peaceable posession of the plantation houses Lands and appurtenances to the same belonging of him the said Joseph Tilley at Hunting Creeke in Calvert County aforesaid and Mortgaged or Leased to the said defendant And that the said George Parker his heirs Executo.rs and Adm.rs may quietly and peaceably hold and enjoy the sd Mortgaged or Leased premisses or soe much thereof as not before ordered & awarded against the said Joseph Tilley and his heires and assignes Cleared and also Discharged and barred of all equity of redemption according to y.e Decree made in this Cause Itt was therefore comanded the said sheriffe that imediately after the receipt thereof Haveing taken with him sufficient Power of the said County of Calvert aforesaid Hee in his proper person should goe to the plantation houses and Lands late of the said Joseph Tilley in Hunting Creeke aforesaid And if there he found any person or psons whatsoever in posession of the said plantacon houses and Lands aforesaid and That them and every one of them you Cause to quitt and leave the posession thereof And that you putt in the said George Parker and his assignes into the quiett & peaceable posession of the said Plantation houses and Lands late of the said Joseph Tilley att Hunting Creeke aforesaid and him the said George Parker in such Quiett and peaceable posession thereof from time to time you Keepe and maintaine against the said Joseph Tilley or his heires or assignes Witness &c the nineteenth day of June Annoq Domini 1682 Whereupon Collonell Henry Jowles sheriffe of Calvert County aforesaid made Returne of the writt aforesaid in manner Following Viz June y.e 22.th 1682 By vertue of this writt to me Directed I have Delivered the within named George Parker Quiett and peaceable posession of the within mentioned plantation houses and Lands formerly appertaineing to Joseph Tilley of Hunting Creeke Henry Jowles Sheriffe James Crauford of the Clifts in Calvert County maketh oath That on or about the Fifteenth day of September In the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred and Eighty he personally served a Decree out of the hono.ble Court of Chancery under seale on Joseph Tilley of Hunting Creeke in the County of Calvert by delivering the said Decree under seale unto the said Joseph Tilley At his house in Hunting Creeke aforesaid James Crauford Sworne before me this Eleaventh day of Aprill 1682 Thomas Tailler |
