HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                        2271 RESOLVED, That this Task Force shall make recommendations
for the implementation of more effective and comprehensive
responses to the problems of child abuse and neglect in Maryland;
and be it further RESOLVED, That the Task Force be composed of 19 13 14
members appointed as follows: (1)  2 members from the Senate of Maryland, appointed
by the President of the Senate; (2)  2 members from the House of Delegates, appointed
by the Speaker of the House; (3)  A representative, appointed by the Governor, from
each of the following agencies: (i) The State Department of Human Resources; (ii) The State Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene; (iii) The Governor's Office of Children and
Youth; (iv) The Maryland Criminal Justice Coordinating
Council; (v) The State Advisory Committee for Protective
Services to Children and Families; (vi) (iv) A private social service agency; (vii) (v) The State judiciary; (vi) A local State's attorney's office; and (vii) The Maryland Nurses' Association; and (viii) A law enforcement agency. (viii) A local department of social services; (ix) The Governor's Youth Advisory Council; (x) A law enforcement agency; (xi) The State Department of Education; and (xii) The Maryland Network Against Violence; (4) 2 members 1-member of the public appointed by the
Governor who are familiar with child abuse and neglect; and (4) A teacher; and
