A House Joint Resolution concerning

Legislative Districting Plan of 1982

FOR the purpose of incorporating certain technical changes
into the plan for legislative districting presented by
the Governor pursuant to Article III, Section 5, of the
Constitution of Maryland; providing that such changes
are intended to remove certain ambiguities and to
implement the intent underlying the Governor's plan;
making an internal change within a legislative district
to improve, in a Delegate district, access originally
inadvertently limited by an unbridged body of water;
providing that this Joint Resolution shall be effective
as a plan within the meaning of Article III, Section 5,
of the Constitution of Maryland only under certain
circumstances; providing that this Joint Resolution
does not preclude the enactment by the General Assembly
of a subsequent Joint Resolution setting forth the
boundaries of legislative districts; and generally
relating to the establishment of legislative districts
pursuant to Article III of the Constitution of
Maryland.

Section 46, 47, 47 1/2, 47A, 47B, and 47C

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 46, 47, 47 1/2, 47A, 47B, and 47C,
inclusive, of Article 40 - General Assembly, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed.
