536(a)(6)] § 485(A)(6) of this subtitle, the Board shall
determine the manner in which the credits are applied.
(3) However, any person enrolled in a beauty
school conducted by the United States Department of Defense,
office of dependent schools shall be given credit on an
hour-by-hour basis toward meeting the requirement of
paragraph (1) of this subsection.
(b) No person shall be permitted to receive a
demonstrator's license unless the person is sufficiently
trained in the particular category of beauty culture being
demonstrated, the sufficiency of such training to be
determined by standards as provided in this subtitle, and
unless credentials certifying such training are presented
along with an application for the license to this Board.
(c) No person who has obtained a license as an
operator shall be permitted to take an examination to act as
a senior manager unless such person shall be at least
eighteen years of age and has had two years' experience as
an operator in a beauty shop.
No person shall be permitted to take an examination to
act as a junior manager of a beauty shop unless such person
shall be at least eighteen years of age and has had at least
2,000 hours in a duly registered school of beauty culture
inclusive of the studies necessary to become an operator and
unless the person has received a certificate as an operator
pursuant to subsection (a) of this section. No junior
manager shall be permitted to take an examination to act as
a senior manager unless such person has had twelve months'
experience working as a junior manager. However, the owner
of beauty shops limited to the practice normally performed
by an electrologist or a cosmetician or a wig stylist are
not required to employ a senior manager as provided in this
section. Rules and regulations governing direct supervision
in such a limited practice beauty shop shall be promulgated
by the Board.
(d) No person shall be permitted to take an
examination for a certificate as a junior teacher unless he
or she is licensed pursuant to subsection (a) of this
section, has had 1,000 additional hours in a duly registered
school of beauty culture on a six-month full-time basis,
inclusive of the studies required in junior teacher
curriculum.
(e) No person shall be permitted to take an
examination to receive a certificate as a senior teacher
unless said person is at least 18 years of age, is a high
school graduate or equivalent, is certified as an operator
and as a junior teacher, and has had one year of experience
as a junior teacher in a duly registered school of
cosmetology or completes the cosmetology teacher program
