AN ACT concerning
Garrett County - Alcoholic Beverages -
Board of License Commissioners
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of License
Commissioners in Garrett County to impose a fine, up to
a certain amount, or suspend an alcoholic beverages
license of a licensee for any violation of the
alcoholic beverages laws affecting Garrett County; and
making this Act an emergency measure.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
203.
(O) IN GARRETT COUNTY, THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY IMPOSE A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN $1,000 OR
SUSPEND A LICENSE FOR ANY VIOLATION OF THE ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES LAWS AFFECTING GARRETT COUNTY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
