(F) LICENSED ELECTROLOGIST.
"LICENSED ELECTROLOGIST" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT
REQUIRES OTHERWISE, AN ELECTROLOGIST WHO IS LICENSED BY THE
BOARD TO PRACTICE ELECTROLOGY.
(G) LICENSED ELECTROLOGY INSTRUCTOR.
"LICENSED ELECTROLOGY INSTRUCTOR" MEANS, UNLESS THE
CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE, AN ELECTROLOGIST WHO IS LICENSED
BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE ELECTROLOGY AND TEACH THE CLINICAL
PRACTICE OF ELECTROLOGY.
(H) PRACTICE ELECTROLOGY.
"PRACTICE ELECTROLOGY" MEANS TO REMOVE HAIR PERMANENTLY
THROUGH THE USE OF ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
555B-1.
In subsections (d) and (g) of this section,
"electrology instructor" and "licensed
electrology instructor" are substituted for the
terms "instructor electrologist" and "licensed
instructor electrologist", respectively, to
conform with the terminology used in the
profession.
In subsection (h) of this section, the phrase "to
perform acts that require specialized knowledge,
judgment, and skill" is deleted as unnecessary.
Present Art. 43, § 555B-l(b), (d), (k), (1), and
(m) — which defines "any state", "Department",
"Secretary", "financial interest", and "household
member" -- is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the definitions of "state", "Department",
"Secretary", "substantial financial interest",
and "household member" in § 1-101 of this
article.
5-102. SCOPE OF TITLE.
THIS TITLE DOES NOT LIMIT THE RIGHT OF AN INDIVIDUAL TO
PRACTICE A HEALTH OCCUPATION THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS
AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE UNDER THIS ARTICLE.

similar provisions in other titles of this
article.
