(1)  The police officer is in uniform
prominently displaying his badge or other insignia of
office; [and] OR

(2)  The police officer, [when in a vehicle or
WHETHER OR NOT IN UNIFORM, is in a vehicle appropriately
marked as an official police vehicle.

(b) If given a visual or audible signal by a police
officer to stop his vehicle, the driver of a vehicle may not
attempt to elude the police officer, whether:

(1)  By willfully failing to stop his vehicle;

(2)  By fleeing on foot; or

(3)  Otherwise, by any other means.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicle Registration - County Treasurers
Montgomery County

FOR the purpose of requiring the Motor Vehicle

Administration to compensate county treasurers for

their administrative processing of motor vehicle

registration; providing that the compensation shall
reflect the actual costs incurred, as determined by the
county treasurers, for the administration processing of
motor vehicle registration; requiring a certain portion
of the compensation received by the county treasurers
to be remitted to the General Funds of the county;
repealing certain provisions relating to the payment of
certain fees to county treasurers; and clarifying
language providing that the Treasurer of Montgomery
County may collect a certain motor vehicle registration
surcharge; providing for the disbursement of this
surcharge; and generally relating to motor vehicle
registration procedures in Montgomery County.
