      Ann by The Grace of God of England Scottland ~
      france and Ireland Queen defender of The faith &ca. To
      all persons to whome The presents Shall Come Greeting Know
      Yee that wee reposeing Especiall trust And Confidence in
      The honesty Cfidelity, Circumspeccon, & prudence of John
      Hawkins Junr. of Or. County of Kent, in Our province
      of Mariland have Constituted, Ordained & Appointed
      And doe by These prsents Ordaine Constitute & Appoint you
      The Said John Hawkins Junr. to be Sherf of Our said County
      of Kent, to have receive And Enjoy all Such Lawfull
      priviledges And benefitts as Any other Sherf within Our said
      Province Now hath or Ever Lawfully had To have & to hold
      the Office of high Sherife Afforesaid unto You The Said ~
      John Hawkins Dureing pleasure You The said Jno. Hawkins
      rendering yearly Our firme dues & Just rights & haveing
      Likewise first taken The Oaths Appointed pr Act of prliamt.
      as allso ye Oath of Sherf And giveing bond for The
      due Execucon of The Said Office According to Law
      Wittness Our Trusty & well beloved Nathll Blakiston Esqr
      Our Captn Genrll & Governr in Cheife in & over Our
      Province & territorys of Mariland The 13th day of June
      in The first year of Our Reigne Anno Domi 1702
