Septr. Court 1702 May appear And Whereas one Richard Jerome was indebted unto the Said Anne when Sole in the Sume of three thousand and Six pounds of tobacco The Said plaintfs after their Intermarriage for the better Securing and more Speedy recovering of the Said Debt did the twenty nineth day of Janry anno Domi 1701 before Thomas Smyth and his Associates Justice of the peace for the Said County by a due and Legall Course of Law revoered Jugt: agt. the goods and Chattells of the Said Richard Jerome for the Afd Sume of 3006 pounds of Tobacco their debt and two hundred and fifty two pounds of tobacco Cost of Suit upon Which Judgt: the Said plaintfs Sued out a writt of Attachmt agt. the goods &ca: of the Said Richard Jerome which Said writt of Attachmt: At A Court held for the Said County the Seventh day of Aprill Anno Dmi. 1702 by John Hawkins Sherf of the Said County was retd. Nulla bona upon which Cost accrued to the Sume of three hundred fifty and two pounds of tobacco Which afd debt and Costs amounts in the whole to the Sume of three thousand Six hundred and twelve pounds of tobacco which yett remains due and unpaid to the Said plaintifs And the Said Rennatus Smith by fraud and deceit devised and forethought off and to defraud hinder and deferr [?] them the Said plaintfs of their debt and Costs afd the act of Assembly afd not regarding neither the penalty in the Same Contained fearing The twenty Second day of December Anno Dmi: 1701 At Chester river within the Jurisdiction of this Cort being a free= =man~ the Said Richard Jerome on board of his the Said Rennatus Smiths Vessell did take and the Same Richd: Jerome out of this province from thence did transport and Convey without causing or procuring the Said Richd: Jerome to return againe in one Month after he the Said given Richard Jerome not having ^ notice of his intended departure Out of this province by Setting up of his Name At the Secretaries office the full Space of three Months nor given good and Sufficient Security to the Govr. keeper of the great Seale or Secretary to discharge and pay all his Debts and Accounts due and owing from the Said Richard Jerome ( To |
