employ and discharge at any time inspectors or auditors.
He] shall employ investigators AND INSPECTORS whose
positions shall be within the merit system established by
Article 64A of this Code. The investigators AND INSPECTORS
shall investigate only home improvement complaints. The
Attorney General of Maryland may appoint a qualified
attorney-at-law who shall serve at the pleasure of the
Attorney General to represent the Commission.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

The Absentee Insurance Fund

FOR the purpose of abolishing the Absentee Insurance Fund
and deleting the provisions of the law that refer or
relate to the fund; providing for the transfer of the
