AN ACT concerning
Agricultural Land -
Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation foundation
FOR the purpose of providing a program for the purchase
of agricultural land preservation easements by the
Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation;
creating the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation
Fund; identifying sources of revenue for the Fund;
providing for the annual determination of the
disposition of the Fund; terminating the terms of
office of the existing members of the Board of
Trustees of the Maryland Agricultural Land
Preservation Foundation; providing for the
appointment of new Trustees; altering the duties and
composition of the Board; creating Agricultural
Preservation Advisory Boards in each county;
providing for additional staff personnel for the
Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation foundation;
providing certain duties for the Secretary of
Agriculture; providing for the creation and review
of agricultural districts; setting forth the manner
of purchase of agricultural land preservation
easements; removing from the Code the form of the
easement; establishing criteria for easements;
providing for approval of local programs; specifying
criteria and procedures for termination of easements
after a certain period; providing for condemnation
of land under easement for a public purpose; and
relating to the preservation of agricultural land in
Maryland.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

2-507, be and they are hereby repealed and reenacted,
