SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
terms of the part-time commissioners as specified in the
law in existence immediately prior to July 1, 1977 are
continued and that the members of the Public Service
Commission holding office thereunder as part-time
commissioners and in office immediately prior to July 1,
1977, shall continue to hold office as part-time
commissioners until the expiration of the initial terms
specified in the law in effect immediately prior to July
1, 1977.

Section 6 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect July 1, 1977.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-309(d) of Article - Courts and
Judicial Proceedings, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
