AN ACT concerning
Wicomico County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Salaries — Liquor Control Board)
FOR the purpose of altering the compensation of the
chairman and members of the Liquor Control Board of
Wicomico County; specifying that the alteration
does not affect the incumbents; and making this Act
an emergency measure.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 159(h)(6) of Article 2B -
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
159.
(h) Members of the several boards shall receive
compensation as follows;
(6) Wicomico County - [Twelve hundred
dollars] $1,500 per annum, and a salary of [fifteen
hundred dollars] $2,000 per annum for the chairman of the
board.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the Chairman and Members of the
Liquor Control Board in office on the effective date of
this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the
salary of the Chairman and Members of the Liquor Control
Board shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
|
|
|

|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
