[21] November Court 1700

Anno Domⁱ. 1691 and continuing untill Septem^r. Anno Domⁱ. 1694 had retained him y^e Said Robert
to be of Concell of him y^e Said John (Dec^d.) to prosecute & appeare for him y^e Said John (Dec^d.) as
his Att^ry in Talbott County Court within y^e jurisdiction Afs^d/ in divers Actions y^e Said Robert Taking
for his fee & labour in that part Sustained in each Action that & Said Robert Stood Att^ry for him y^e
Said John Dec^d. y^e Sume of one hundred pounds of Tob^o. being the Usuall & Accustomed fees for
Att^rys in y^e Said Talbott County Court by which y^e Said Robert Gouldesborough from y^e Afs^d. month
of jan^ry 1691 untill Septem^r 1694 had prosecuted & Appeared for y^e Said John (Dec^d.) in y^e Afs^d.
Talbott County Court in divers Actions as by A particular Acco^t. thereof to this Declⁿ. Annexed &
here in Court brought y^e Same appeares which at y^e Usually rates for Att^rys fees in y^e Afs^d. County
of Talbott Amounts in the whole to y^e Sume of Six hundred pounds of Tob^o. by which Accon Accrewed
to him the Said Robert to have & require of him y^e Said John (Dec^d.) y^e Said Sume of 600^lbs. Tob^o. Yet not with
standing y^e Said John Dec^d. in his lifetime altho Often demanded y^e Said Sume of 600^lbs Tob^o. Unto y^e Said Rob^t.
did not pay Neither hath y^e Said Adm^r. in Said Capacity altho often demanded Since y^e death of y^e Said
John (Dec^d.) paid y^e Same 600^lbs. Tob^o. but y^e Same to pay he hath & Still doth Deny & Unjustly detaine to y^e
Damage of y^e Said Robert Gouldesborough 1200^lbs. Tob^o. and thereupon he brings this Suite

		lbs. Tob^o
	To my fees a^st. Bakles	100	Decem^r. y^e 8^th. 1697 The above Acc^t. was proved to be just & true
	To my fees a^st. Bishop	100	Accompt by y^e oath of Robert Gouldesborough before Us y^e Subscribers
1693	To app ad^s. Sweatnam two Suites	200	being two of his maj^ties justices of y^e peace for Talbott County
	To app ad^s. Nich^s. Clouds	100	James Murphey
Sep:	1694 To my fee a^st. Tho. Collins	100	Hugh Sherwood
	p^r R Gouldesborough	600

And y^e Said Defendant by Michael Earle his Att^ry comes and Defends y^e force and injury when &^a. & for plea
Saith non Sum informatus                      Earle p^r Defend^t.
But y^e Said Plaint. by Richard Macklin his Att^ry prays Judgem^t. for his Debt & cost of Suite which
was granted

Therefore it is Considered by y^e Court here Viz^t. y^e 28. day of Novem^r. Annoq Domⁱ. 1700 That y^e S^d.
Plaint. Robert Gouldesborough doe recover from y^e Said Defendant John Hollinsworth Adm^r. of John
Hollinsworth late of Kent County Dec^d. in his Said Capacity as well y^e Sume of Six hundred pounds of
Tob^o. Debt as alsoe y^e Sume of Two hundred Seventy & nine pounds of Tob^o. Cost of Suite & y^e Said John

Comand was given to y^e Sher^f. of Kent County y^e 26. day of June Anno Domⁱ. 1700 that he ^ Elizabeth
Mountsier alius dictus Eliz^a. Mountsier Ex^x. of y^e last will & testament of Timothy Mountsier late of Said County
Planter Dec^d. if found in his bailiwick & her Safe keep Soe that he have her body before our Justices at y^e
next Court to be held for Said County to Answer unto Tobitha Norreast Charles Wright & Ketherine
his wife Ex^rs. of y^e last will & Testament of Robert Norreast late of Said County Carpenter Dec^d. of A plea
that She render unto them y^e full Sume of foure hundred pounds of good Sound merchantable & Casque
which from them She unjustly Detaineth &^a.
Att which next Court Viz^t. y^e 27. day of August Anno Domⁱ. 1700 y^e Day of y^e Returne of Said writt
came M^r. Elias King high Sher^f. of Said County & made returne thereof in these words Viz^t.
                                                                                 Cepi Corpus p^r Elias King Sher^f.
The which cause [continu]ed from Court to Court untill this p^rSent Court & now y^e Said Cause
Standing for Try[all] [illegible] Came as well y^e Plaint. by Richard Macklin there Att^ry & prayed
that y^e Said Defend[ant mi]ght come and Answer to y^e Said Action who being came not neither by her
Selfe nor Att^ry but made default wherefore Judg^t. was awarded to y^e Said Plaintiffs for y^e Said
Sume of four hundred pounds of Tob^o. Debt & Cost of Suite

Therefore it is Considered by y^e Court here Viz^t. this 28 day of Novem^r. Anno Domⁱ. 1700 that y^e Said
Plaintiffs Tobitha Norreast Charles Wright & Catherine his wife Ex^rs. of Robert Noreast late of Said
County Dec^d. doe recover from y^e Said Eliz^a. Mountsier in her Said Capacity as well y^e Sume of four hundred
pounds of Tob^o. Debt as alsoe y^e Sume of one hundred ninty & nine pounds of Tob^o. cost of Suit & y^e Said
