468) Maryland for the fines and forfeitures and other dues belonging to the State as also his Account of all Fees Dues and sums of Money or Tobacco due to any of the Good People within this State for any sum or sums of Money or Tobacco wherewith the said Sheriff shall be entrusted during the time of his Sherivalty or to such of them as shall require the same shall pass and render according to Law and in things as Sheriff of Prince Georges County shall behave himself well and truly towards all persons according to the best of his power then the above obligation to be void and of none Effect Else to remain in full force and Virtue in Law Signed Sealed and Acknowledged in the presence of us the Subscribers Nicholas Blacklock (seal) Leonard Townshend Sam.l Townshend (seal) John Townshend John H Beanes (seal) Thomas Young (seal) Fran.s C Dyer (seal) 4 sides Walter Dent (seal) Recorded Dec.r 21.st 1785 Jonath.n Burch (seal) This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between Matthew Birkhead of Anne Arundel County Planter of the one part and Richard Chew of Anne Arundel County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Matthew Birkhead for and in Consideration of the Quanty of Two thousand six hundred Weight of Tobacco to him in hand paid by the said Richard Chew the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted Bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto him the said Richard Chew his heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in Anne Arundel County af.d containing Thirty one Acres and a half more or Less and called and known by the name of Wells Beginning at a bounded cedar post standing on the Edge of an Orchard and running thence North twenty Degrees West fifty eight perches Nineteen Links to a stump the remains of a bounded Hicory thence South Eighty four Degrees West eighty seven perches to a bounded Post then South twenty five Degrees East seventy two (Perches) |
