457) Maryland On the 26 day of November 1785 came before me one of the Judges of the General Court John Hall and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the several Tracts and parcels of Land therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within Named Thomas Cockey Deye his heirs and assigns forever according to the true intent and meaning thereof 5¼ sides A C Hanson Recorded November the 29.th 1785 Ex.d & dd This Indenture made the twenty ninth day November one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between Philip Hammond Hopkins of Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland of the one part and Rachel Snowden of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Philip Hammond Hopkins for and in consideration of the sum of Five shillings Sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said Rachel Snowden upon or before the Sealing and delivery^ing^ of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth acquit exonerate and discharge the said Rachel Snowden her heirs and assigns forever hath given granted aliened Bargained Sold enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien bargain sell enfeoff and confirm unto her the said Rachel Snowden her heirs and assigns forever all that part of a Tract of Land called Trouble enough Indeed lying and being in Montgomery County and beginning at the end of the thirty eighth course of the whole Tracts and running thence North thirteen Degrees West forty perches then North fifty seven degrees West one hundred and eighty perches then South fifty five and a half Degrees west two hundred perches then South twenty two Degrees East twenty eight perches then south seventeen degrees west thirty two perches then south thirty seven degrees West sixty six perches then south fifty three degrees West seventy two perches then North Sixty eight Degrees West twenty perches then North twenty Degrees East thirty four perches then South sixty eight Degrees West one hundred and eighty perches then south twenty seven Degrees West sixty perches then North forty Degrees West one hundred perches then North twenty degrees East one hundred and two perches then North Ninety five perches then North thirty nine degrees East eighty four perches then North forty five degrees East one hundred and fifty perches then south forty five Degrees East fifty four perches then North forty two Degrees East fifty perches then North twenty five degrees East seventy six perches then south sixty five Degrees East thirty six perches then south sixty Degrees East forty perches then south sixty eight degrees East eighty perches then North fifty four Degrees East one hundred and thirty two perches then North twenty one Degrees West sixty perches then North thirteen Degrees West Forty eight perches then South eighty eight degrees West forty perches then south thirty degrees West forty perches then South forty (Degrees) |
