451) day of September in the Year Seventeen hundred and seventy four I Philip Shoale did purchase a certain Tract or Parcel of Land from John Hood Junior lying part in Ann Arundel County and part in Baltimore County called Hoods fine Soil Forrest Containing forty seven acres and one half acre of Land More or less for the purpose and intent of Building a Grist and Saw Mill on it and from my age and inability to build and finish the said Mills as intended as aforesaid I the said Philip Shoale did enter into an agreement in writing with my eldest son David Shoale bearing date on or about the Month of January in the year seventeen hundred and Seventy five that in consideration of my said Son David Shoale's helping and assisting me the said Philip Shoale did by the said above mentioned writing assign over to him the said David Shoale all my property right and title of in and to the said John Hood Junior's Bond given me the said Mills in compliance of the above written Agreement with me the said Philip Shoale and for and in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred ^pounds^ of good and Lawful Money of the State of Maryland to me in hand paid by the said David Shoale the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged I the said Philip Shoale for the more sure making the above premisses Have granted bargained sold aliened remised released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien remise release enfeoff and confirm unto him the said David Shoale his heirs and assigns forever (in his actual possession now being and so has been from the said Month of January in the year seventeen hundred and seventy four) all that the above mentioned Tract piece of parcel of Land called Hoods fine Soil Forrest lying part in Ann Arundel and part in Baltimore County Butted and bounded as follows (Viz.t) Beginning at the original beginning Trees of a Tract of Land called Green Brian being two bounded red oaks and a bounded white oak and running thence South Sixty one degrees West Ten perches South forty degrees East twelve perches to intersect the end of the first line of the aforesaid Green Briar then North seventy two Degrees East seven perches South thirteen degrees East twenty eight perches South ten Degrees East thirty four perches South Seventy nine degrees East twenty eight perches North thirty degrees East Nineteen perches North thirty five Degrees East forty eight perches North twenty three perches North forty six Degrees east twenty one perches South twenty seven degrees East Eight perches North sixty Nine Degrees ^East twenty six perches North two Degrees East twenty six perches then South Sixty Eight Degrees^ thirty minutes west forty perches south Twenty three Degrees west forty two perches North seventy seven Degrees West twenty seven perches then by a straight line to the first beginning containing forty seven acres and one half acre more or Less Together with all and singular the Houses Mills Mill dam rare Edifices Buildings ways roads waters woods priviledges improvements advantages convenencies and appurtenances thereto belonging or in (any) |
