411) On the 16.th August Anno Domini seventeen hundred and Eighty five came Robert Long Party to the within Deed before us the Subscribers Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County and acknowledged this Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and premises therein mentioned & described with their appurtenances to be the right Title and Estate of the within named Charles Wallace John Muir and Isaac Harris their Heirs & Assigns according to the true intent & meaning of the said Deed and the act of Assembly in such case made & provided Acknowledged Before Nic.s Worthington (seal) Allen Quynn Baltimore County Ss.t August 18.th 1785 Came before us the Subscribers Two Justices of the peace for said County Sarah Long wife to the within named Robert Long and being by us examined apart from her said Husband did acknowledge all her right of Dower to the within Bargained Premises to be the Estate right Title and Property of they within named Charles Wallace John Muir and Isaac Harris their Heirs and assigns for ever and at the same time did declare that she made such acknowledgement of her own free will & accord without being thereto compelled by any threats or ill usage of her said Husband Acknowledged before us Rob.t Lemmon Geo Gould Presbury 9½ sides Recorded September the 6.th 1785 Ex.d & Del.d Maryland sc Know all men by these presents that we Alexander Trueman Margaret Trueman and James Trueman are held and firmly bound unto William Faris of the City of Annapolis in the full and just sum of six hundred pounds Current Money to be paid to the said William Faris his certain Attorney Executors Administrators and Assigns to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves & each of us our and each of our heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this eighteenth day of April Anno Domini 1785 Whereas William Reynolds late of the City of Annapolis deceased Father of the aforesaid Margaret Trueman in his Lifetime being possessed of sundry Lots or parcels of Ground in the City of Annapolis did by Lease bearing Date the twelfth day of January seventeen hundred and sixty three demise grant and to Farm let unto the aforesaid William Faris for and upon the Rents Covenants and agreements therein expressed the parcel of ground therein mentioned being part of the Ground ^owned^ and occupied by the said William Reynolds ^And whereas the said William Reynolds^ did by another Lease bearing date the twenty seventh day of November Seventeen hundred and Seventy demise lease grant and to Farm Let unto the aforesaid William Faris for ^and^ upon the rents covenants and agreements therein expressed the parcel of Ground therein mentioned being part of Lot Number sixty one then Occupied by the said William Reynolds and adjoining the Ground leased as aforesaid by the said William Reynolds to the said William Faris And whereas the aforesaid William Reynolds by his last will and Testament after giving and bequeathing sundry Legacies to a considerable amount to the persons therein Named did give bequeath and devise to his Daughter ^the aforesaid^ Margaret all the rest and residue (of) |
