(397 Obligation to be void and of no Effect or else to stand in full force Strength and Virtue in Law Samuel Abell ys.t (Seal) Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Joseph Ford (Seal) Witnesseth Geo H Leigh Bennet Rily (Seal) P Ford On the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Written Viz.t Mary County 21.st June 1785 Then Came George Howell Leigh and Philip Ford before us the Subscribers two of the Justices for County aforesaid and made Oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that they saw Samuel Abell Joseph Ford and Bennit Riley sign seal and deliver the within Bond Sworn before Recorded this 1.st day of July 1785 Henry Reeder 5 sd Zach.a Forrest State of Maryland Know all Men by these presents that we Samuel Abell Enoch Fenwick Sen.r John Cartwright & Nich.s Mills are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland afsaid in the full and just Sum of ten thousand Pounds Current Money to be paid unto the State of Maryland to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and every of us and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this twenty first day of March one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Samuel Abel young.t shall well and faithfully execute and perform the several duties required of him as Collector of the Tax for Saints Marys County according to Law then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force power and Virtue in Law Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel Abell young.t (Seal) Robert Chesley Enoch Fenwick (Seal) Will Kilgour John Cartwright (Seal) Wil.m Somerville Nich.s Mills (Seal) Recorded this 1.st day of July 1785 Ex.d & Deld To all to whom these Presents shall Come I Richard Bennett Lloyd of Queen Ann's County in the State of Maryland Gentleman Send Greeting Whereas James Anderson now or late of the City of London in the Kingdom of Great Britain Merchant stands indebted unto me in the Sum of three thousand three hundred Pounds Sterling lawful Money of the Kingdom of Great Britain or thereabouts with the Interest thereof for a Considerable time past for the recovery of which I have Caused certain Process of Attachment to Issue in the State of Maryland aforesaid by means whereof it is Supposed that the said sum of Money or the principal part |
