394) The original begining of Number fifty six and runing thence North seventy Nine Degrees west one hundred and sixty nine Perches then South three Degrees west one hundred and thirty seven perches then South seventy five Degrees East one hundred and Ninety eight perches then North twenty Degrees East one hundred and fifty two Perches then by a Straight line to the begining Containing one hundred and Ninety eight Acres Together with all and singular the Improvements Advantages Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the Tract of Land aforesaid belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Remainder and Remainders Reversion and Reversions Rents Issues and Profits thereof and also all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and demand of them the said Clement Hollyday and Gabriel Duvall both at Law and in Equity of in and to the Premises and every part thereof To Have and To Hold the aforesaid Quantity of Land hereby bargained and Sold Containing one hundred and Ninety eight Acres with all and singular the Premises and appurtenances unto him the said James Craik his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said James Craik his Heirs and Assigns for Ever In Witness whereof the said Clement Hollyday & Gabriel Duvall have hereunto Set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the day & year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered Clement Hollyday (Seal) in presence of G Duvall (Seal) W.m Hall 3.d Immediately after the aforegoing Deed Was written as follows viz.t May the 10.th 1785 Received on the first day of April last of the within named James Craik in Army Certificates the Sum of one thousand two hundred and Seventy Pounds with the Interest thereon until the said first day of April Witness W.m Hall 3.d G Duvall Maryland sc.t On the 13.th day of May 1785 came Clement Hollyday & Gabriel Duvall two of the Commissioners appointed to preserve Confiscated British Property & parties to the foregoing Deed before me Subscriber one of the Judges of the General Court & acknowledged the said Deed to be their Act and Deed & the Land therein mentioned to be conveyed to be the right Title and Estate of the within Named James Craik his Heirs and Assigns for Ever according to the true intent and meaning thereof A C Hanson Recorded this 1.st day of July 1785 Ex.d dl.d & p.d This Indenture made this tenth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between Clement Hollyday and Gabriel Duvall two of the Commissioners appointed to preserve Confiscated British Property of the one part and James Craik of Charles County Physician ^and Thomas Marshall of Charles County Physician^ of the other part Whereas the Commissioners for the time being did on the tenth day of September in the Year Seventeen hundred and eighty two by Virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland entitled an Act for the Sale |
