236 Money of Maryland to him in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained & Sold and Conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said Richard Wootton that Part of a tract ^of land^ called Cuckolds delight also all that part of a tract of Land called Exchange and New Exchange enlarged not Included in the lines heretofore sold out both w^h^ich said Tracts or parcels of land lay to each other adjacent in Montgomery County and State aforesaid on a branch commonly Called Wats branch both which said Tracts of Land be^r^ing at two bounded white Oaks standing on the west side of Said branch and in sight of a large rock Stone on the east side of said branch To have and to hold the aforesaid Parcells or Tracts of Land and every part and pa^r^cell thereof with all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any manner of ways appertaining unto the said Richard Wootton his heirs and Assigns for ever to his and their only proper use and behoof and to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever and the said Arthur Nelson for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Richard Wootton in manner and form following that is to say that he the said Arther Nelson his heirs Executors and Administrators the aforesaid Tracts or parcels of land with all and every the Appurtenances unto him the said Richard Wootton his heirs or Assigns shall and will warrant and for ever defend against all manner of person claiming from by or under him or them and Lastly that he the said Arther Nelson his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and will at any time hereafter make and execute such other deed or conveyance for the further and more sure Conveying the lands and premisses aforesaid unto the said Richard Wootton his Heirs or Assigns such as by him or them or by his or their council learned in the law shall be advised or required In Witness whereof the said Arthur Nelson hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered In the presence of Arther Nelson (Seal) Cha.s Hungerford Rich.d Smith On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) June 14 1784 Then received of the within named Richard Wootton the sum of fifty Pounds Current Money being the consideration money within mentioned Witness Cha Hungerford Rich.d Smith Arther Nelson Montgomery County fs.t one the fourteenth day of June 1784 came before us two of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid the within Named Arthur Nelson and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be in Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the the right property and Estate of the within named Richard Wootton his heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning thereof and according to Law 6¼ Cha Hungerford Rich.d Smith Recorded 30.th July 1781 This Indenture made this the tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four between John M.cLure of Baltimore Town Baltimore County |
