233 one of the grantors herein mentioned by an Act of Assembly entitled an Act for the Benefit of M.rs Rebecca Hanson & Catharine Dulany passed at November session 1782 & by a supplement thereto Passed at November Session 1783 to hold the same to them & their Heirs as tenants in common agreeably to the to the times ^Terms^ of the said act which have been duly complied with & the said Thomas & Rebecca do give grant bargain & sell unto the said William Baker & his Heirs the said undivided moity of the said one thousand Acres of Land to have and to hold the same to him and his Heirs unto the only use & behoof of him and his Heirs for ever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and Affixed their Seals the Day and Year first aforesaid T Hanson (Seal) Signed Sealed and Delivered R Hanson (seal) In presence of Thomas Clagett H Recer At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t Maryland P G County On the Eighth day of July 1784 Thomas Hanson and Rebecca his Wife appeared before the Subscribers Two of the Justices of the Peace for P Georges County and acknowledged the above Instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed and the said Rebecca being by us privately examined out of the hearing of her Husband did acknowledge and declare that she made her Acknowledgment of the said deed freely & willingly and without being induced thereto by fear or Threats of or ill usage by her Husband or fear of his displeasure Thomas Clagett H Recer To the aforegoing deed was annexed as follows to wit Prince Georges Sc.t the County In Testimony that Thomas Clagett and Harry ^Henry^ Rozer Gentlemen were on the eighth day Seal of this Instant and still are two of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid legally authorised Commissioned and Assigned and to all Certificates by them taken and Signed due faith and Credit 5 sides and ought to be given as well in Courts Justice as thereout I have hereunto Set my hand and Affixed the Seal of my Office this twenty first day of July seventeen hundred and eighty four John Read Magruder Clk Recorded 24.th July 1784 This Indenture made this ninth day of July seventeen hundred and eighty four between William Baker of Prince Georges County physician of the one part and Thomas Hawkins Hanson gentleman of the same place of the other part witnesseth that the said William for and in Consideration of the sum of one thousand pounds Current money to him in hand paid before the sealing & Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowleded hath given granted bargained & Sold & doth give grant bargain & sell unto the said Thomas and his Heirs one undivided moiety of one thousand acres of land lying ^in^ Baltimore ^County^ which were Granted unto Rebecca Hanson & Catharine Dulany now Catharine Belt by an Act of Assembly passed at November Session 1782 entitled an Act for the Benefit of M.rs Rebecca Hanson & Catharine Dulany and by a Suppliment thereto passed at November Session 1783 to hold the same to them and their Heirs as tenants in common agreeable to the Terms of the said Acts which have been fully complied with & which said Moiety was given granted bargained and sold by Thomas Hawkins Hanson & Rebecca his Wife the Same Rebecca mentioned in the Acts of Assembly aforesaid for the Consideration of |
