120) Maryland sc.t Know all men by these presents that we Joseph Burroughes of Charles County and James Chappelair and Thomas Lock of Saint Marys County are held and firmly Bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of one thousand five hundred pounds Gold Currency to be paid unto the said State of Maryland To the which payment well and truly to be made and Done We Bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and Dated this thirteenth day of Oct.r Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is Such that if the above Bound Joseph Burroughes do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the Treasurer of the Western Shore for the time being the Just and full Sum of five pounds one shilling per acre for all the Land Contained in the Vacancy which Lies in Calverton Manor in Charles County between the Lots 13 & 23 except a small peck between 23 and 24 In Gold and Silver Rating Milled Dollars at Seven Shillings and Six pence and other Gold Silver at the Rates mentioned in an Act entitled an Act for the emission of Bills of Credit &c passed May Session 1781 or in Bills of Credit of emission of the tenth of May 1781 to the Actual Value thereof in the proportions and on the days following to wit One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1782 with Legal Interest thereon One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1783 with Legal Interest thereon and the other third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1784 with Legal Interest thereon Then the above Obligation to be Void else to Remain in full force & Virtue in Law Joseph Burroughes (seal) Signed Sealed & Delivered G Duvall James Chapplear (seal) In the presence of Thomas Lock (seal) Maryland sc.t Know all men by these presents that We Richard Estep Jonathan Parker and John Harbin of Charles County are held and firmly Bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of nine hundred pounds Gold Currency to be paid to the said State of Maryland To the which paym.t well and truly to be made and Done We Bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated this thirteenth day of October Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is Such that if the above Bound Richard Estep do and Shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the Treasurer of the Western Shore for the time being the Just and full Sum of twenty five shillings and six pence per acre for the Contents of Lot N.o 37 and thirty two shillings and three pence per acre for the Contents of Lot N.o 43 on the plat of Calverton Manor made A D 1767 In Gold and Silver Rating Milled Dollars at Seven Shillings and Six pence and other Gold & Silver at the Rates Mentioned in an Act entitled an Act for the emission of Bills of Credit &c passed May Session 1781 or in Gold Bills of Credit of the emission of the tenth of May 1781 to the Actual Value Thereof in the proportions and on the days following to wit One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1782 with Legal Interest thereon One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1783 with Legal Interest thereon and the other third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1784 with Legal Interest thereon Then the above Obligation to be Void else to Remain in full force and Virtue in Law Rich.d Estep (seal) Signed Sealed & Delivered G Duvall John Harber (seal) In the presence of his Jon.a O Parker (seal) mark Maryland |
