729 Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of September one thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between Richard Johns Merchant Eldest son and Heir of Kinsey Johns late of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland of the one Part and Oliver Mathews of Baltimore County and Province aforesaid Planter of the other Part Whereas the said Kinsey Johns deceased agreed to and with the said Oliver Mathews to convey and make over unto him the following Tract or Parcell of Land Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Richard Johns for and in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred and twenty six Pounds nineteen Shillings current Money to Susannah Johns Widow and Administratrix of the said Kinsey Johns deceased in hand paid by the said Oliver Mathews the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents he the said Richard Johns doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm to him the said Oliver Mathews his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Lott or Parcel of Land being Part of a Tract of Land called Nicholsons Manner lying and being in Baltimore County C N three as follows beginning for First or Eastermost Part of the same Lott at the End of three hundred and eighty two Perches on the East six hundred and forty Perch Line of the whole Tract runing thence West one hundred and sixty Perches South three hundred and twenty seven Perches untill it intersects the west North West eight hundred and forty Perch Line of the whole Tract then East South East one hundred and seventy three Perches untill it intersects a Line drawn South from the Place of Beginning then bounding on that North unto the Place of Beginning laid out for three hundred sixty Acres of Land more or less together with all and singular the Rights Profits Benefits Priviledges and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any Wise appurtaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every Part and Parcel and also all the Right Title Estate Interest Use Trust Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Richard Johns of in and to the aforesaid Lott of Parcel of Land and Premis^s^es with the Appurtenances to have and to hold the aforesaid bargained Parcel of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Oliver Mathews his heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Oliver Mathews his Heirs and Assigns forever And the said Richard Johns for himself and his Heirs doth hereby covenant grant and agree to and with the said Oliver Mathews his Heirs and Assigns forever that he the said Richard Johns and his heirs shall and will warrant and forever defend the said bargained Parcel of Land and Premis^s^es with the Appurtenances and every Part and Parcell thereof unto the said Oliver Mathews his heirs and Assigns forever against all and all manner of Persons claiming from by or under the said Kinsey Johns deceased In Witness whereof the said Richard Johns hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the Day and Year above written Signed sealed and delivered in Presence of Richard Johns (LS) Philip Thomas Lee A Paca On the Back of the above Deed was thus indorsed to wit On the twenty sixth Day of September one thousand seven hundred and seventy Four came Richard Johns before me the Subscriber one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein mentioned to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named Oliver Mathews his heirs and Assigns for ever at same Time came Susannah Johns Widow and Administratrix of the within named Kinsey Johns deceased and acknowledged the within Deed and freely relinquished her Right of Dower and all her Right Title and Interest of in and to the Premisses within mentioned Philip Thomas Lee |
