512 sterling for and Alienation fine due on the within Land to Henry Harford Esq.r Called Ohio by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Jn.o Brice 10½ Sides Recorded the 4.th of May 1773 X.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this twelevth day of April In the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and seventy three Between Samuel Owings Junior son of Samuel of Baltimore County in the province aforesaid Farmer of the one part and John Jones son of John of the same County and province Farmer of the other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Owings for and in Consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds Pensylvania Currency to him by the said John Jones in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth fully acquit and discharge the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns Hath granted bargained and sold aliend released and Confirmed and by these presents Doth grant Bargain and sell alien release and confirm unto the said John Jones All that part of a Tract or parcel of Land called the Ohio situate lying and being in Frederick County in the Province aforesaid which is describd by and contained within the following Metes Bounds Courses and Distances to wit Beginning for the same at the End of the first Line of a Tract of Land called Lowers Fancy and running thence North two Degrees East seventy one perches thence North Eighty Eight degrees west one hundred and fifty eight perches to the beginning of that part of the said Tract of Land called the Ohio now the property of Michael Wilks thence South two Degrees West sixty perches thence North Eighty Eight degrees west one hundred and thirty Perches thence South sixteen degrees West One hundred and thirteen perches thence East sixty four perches thence South twenty five degrees East One hundred and sixty one perches thence North fifty nine degrees East Two hundred and forty three perches and thence by a streight Line to the first Place of Beginning containing and laid out for four hundred Acres of Land be the same more or less Together with all Houses Buildings Orchards Fences Pastures Ways Waters Water Courses Improvements Priviledges Emoluments and Advantages to the said Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and Services thereof And also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Benefit, Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Samuel Owings of in and to the said Tract or parcel of Land above granted and of in and to every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances To Have and to Hold the said above granted Land and premisses with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other Use Intent or Purpose And the said Samuel Owings for himself and his Heirs doth hereby Covenant and grant to and with the said John Jones his |
