488 On the day and Year first within mentioned received of the within named Joseph Ensor the sum of One hundred and fifty pounds Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned p his his Witness Barney B Binox Thomas Cole + Speagle James Maydwell Rob.t Long mark mark Job Garretson her her her Ann O Binox Rachel + Speagle Temperance + Maydwell mark his mark mark George + Childs Walter James mark her her Mary + James Hannah H Childs mark mark On the tenth day of April seventeen hundred and seventy three Before the subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the peace for Baltimore County duly Authorized and Sworn Personally Came the within named Between Thomas Cole Speagle and Rachel his wife George Childs and Hannah his wife James Madewell and Temperance his wife Mary James and being severally examined according to the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided acknowledged the within Indenture to be their Act and Deed to and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Rachel Hannah Temperance and Mary being severally examined seperate and apart from their respective said Husbands freely relinquished their and each of their Right and Title to the within Land and premisses to the said Joseph Ensor and his Heirs and severally acknowledged they & each of them did the same freely and Volu^n^tarily and without being compelled thereto by threats from her their or either of their said Husbands or thro' fear of his their or either of their displeasure acknowledged before and Certifyed by The above acknowledgements And Buchanan also made in the presence of W.m Buchanan Job Garretson Rob.t Long 15 sides Recorded the 28.th of April 1773 X.d This Indenture made the Nineteenth Day of April in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Leonard Wayman of Frederick County Planter of the one part and Thomas Rutland of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Leonard Wayman for and in Consideration of the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Rutland at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained sold aliened remised enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant bargain Sell alien remise enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Thomas Rutland his Heirs and Assigns all that Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in Frederick County (being part of a Tract or parcel of Land lying in said County Called the Final Conclusion) which |
