211 X.d This Indenture made this twenty ninth Day of August in the year seventeen hundred and seventy one Between Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, of Prince George's County; in the Province of Maryland Gentlemen, Trustees of Charles Carroll, Esq; of the same County for the Purpose of erecting a Town, called Carrolsburg, on Patowmack River, in the County aforesaid of the one Part and John Brice of the City of Annapolis of the other Part, Witnesseth, that the said Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, for and in Consideration of the Sum of six Pounds Sterling Money, to them in hand paid, by the said John Brice before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof the said Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, do hereby acknowledge and therefrom acquit and discharge the said John Brice his heirs Executors and Administrators, and every of them by these Presents, have and each of them hath bargained, sold, aliened, released, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents do and each of them doth bargain sell alien release enfeoffe and confirm unto the said John Brice his Heirs and Assigns, all that Lot of Land lying and being in the Town aforesaid, known and distinguished in the Platt of the said Town by the Number One hundred and thirty five, beginning at the End of the first Line of Lot number one hundred and thirty four and runing Easterly with Street Number eight one hundred and eighty eight feet to Union Street then Northerly with Union Street one hundred and two Feet, then Parallel with street Number Eight westerly one hundred and eighty eight Feet to the End of the second Line of Lot Number one hundred and thirty four then with said Line reversed to the Beginning, being the Lot of Land drawn by the said John Brice in a Lottery heretofore had for the Distribution of the Lots laid out in the said Town, in Pursuance of a Deed executed by the said Charles Carroll to the said Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young for the Purpose aforesaid, together with all and singular the Houses, Out Houses, Edifices, Buildings Gardens, Ways, Waters, Water Courses, Commodities, Privileges, Advantages, Premises and Appurtenances, to the same Lot of Land hereby bargained and sold, belonging or appertaining, and the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders, Rents, Issues and Profits thereof, and of every part and Parcel thereof; and also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Use, Trust, Profit, Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of the said Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, of, in and to the same and of in and to every Part and Parcel thereof and Premises with the Appurtenances To have and to hold the said Lot of Land hereby bargained and sold and every Part and Parcel thereof, and Premises with the Appurtenances to the said John Brice his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of the said John Brice his Heirs and Assigns for ever In Witness whereof, the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed sealed & delivered H Rozer (Seal) in the Presence of us Daniel Carroll (Seal) (the Word "Eight" being Notley Young (Seal) first interlined Will Sydebotham Chris.r Richmond |
