Mary Britania Margaret and Eleanor the Infant Daughters of Philip Griffin Deceased their heirs and assigns forever and all the Residue and Remainder of the said Lands to the use of the said Thomas Griffin his heirs and Assigns for ever and to or for no Other use intent or Purpose whatsoever and the said Thomas Griffin Doth hereby Covenant for himself and his heirs to stand and be Seised accordingly In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto Sett their hands and Seals the day and year firs above written Signed Sealed and Delivered his in the Presence of us Mark griffin O Cooper (Seal) Rob.t Dixon Mark Samuel Beauchampe Tho.s Griffin (Seal) On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed to wit Received the Day and year within written of the within named Thomas Griffin the Sum of Seventy pounds Current Money and also heretofore the Sum of two thousand five hundred pounds of Tob.o of the within named Philip Griffin Witness Rob.t Dixon his Samuel Beauchamp Mark griffin O Cooper mark May 17.th 1769 Then came the within named Mark Griffin Cooper before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and premisses therein Specifyed to be the Right and Estate of the within named Thomas Griffin his heirs and Assigns according to the true intent and Meaning thereof Recorded the 17.th Day of May 1769 Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Ex.d This Indenture Quadripartite made this First Day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and sixty nine Between William Digges of Prince ¾ Georges County Gentleman of the first Part George Fraizer Hawkins of Prince Georges County Gentleman of the second part George Digges of Prince Georges County aforesaid Gentleman of the third Part and James Marshall of the same County Gentleman of the fourth part Witnesseth that the said William Digges for the docking barring and extenguishing all Estates Tail and Reversions and Remainders thereupon expectant or depending of and in the Lands and Appurtenances herein after mentioned for and in Consideration of the Sum of Five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand Paid by the sadism George Fraizer Hawkins at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for divers Other good Causes and Considerations him the same William Digges hereupon moving he the same William Digges hath Granted bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant bargain and Sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said george Fraizer Hawkins his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract or parcell of plantable land scituate lyeing and being in Prince Georges County called and Known by the name of Warbarton Mannor containing Eleven hundred and thirty Seven Acres of Land which said Tract or parcell of Land was heretofore Devised by the last Will and Testament of Charles Digges of Prince Georges County aforesaid deceased Father of the said William Digges by the name of all that his (the said Charles Digges's) Land or Messuage with the Appurtenances whereon he then dwell called Warbarton Mannor also all that Other Tract or Parcell of plantable Land scituate lying and being in Prince Georges County aforesaid called and Known by the name of Frank Land (Containing) |
