(490) the same more or less and premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Joseph Jacobs his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Joseph Jacobs his Heirs and Assigns forever And the said John Stevenson for him and his Heirs doth hereby covenant and grant to and with the said Joseph Jacobs his Heirs and Assigns that he the said John Stevenson the aforesaid Tract of Land and premisses and every part thereof against him and his Heirs and all and every other person and persons whatsoever to him the said Joseph Jacobs his Heirs and Assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said John Stevenson hath hereto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed & Deliverd in presence of Jn.o Stevenson (seal) James Fishwick Sam.l Bailey On the Back of which Deed was thus Endorsed to wit November the 23.d 1768 recd of Joseph Jacobs in Money and Bond Five hundred Pounds Currency it being the Consideration of executing the above Deed Witness by me Jn.o Stevenson Benjamin Rogers On the twenty third Day of November 1768 came John Stevenson the above Grantor before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices for Baltimore County and acknowledg'd the above Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein conveyd to be the Right and Estate of the therein Named Joseph Jacobs his Heirs and Assigns agreeable to the true Intent and Meaning thereof and according to the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided Benjamin Rogers acknowledged as aforesaid before us Jon.a Plowman 1768 December 17.th Rec.d of M.r Joseph Jacobs the sum of two Pounds three shillings and eight pence sterling for the Use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land and by virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his Lordships Agent and Receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded the 17.th Day of December 1768 86.ℓℓ Tob.o Examd This Indenture made the twenty fifth of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between Michael Huff of Baltemore County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and Samuel Manning and Jonathan Griffith of the said County and Province of the other part Witnesseth that the said Michael Huff for and in the Consideration of the sum of sixty five Pounds Current Money of the said Province to him in Hands by the said Samuel Manning and Jonathan Griffith paid the Receit of which he the said (Michael) |
