(295) for ever and the aforesaid Thomas Green for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant promise and Grant to and with him the aforesaid Jacob Waters his heirs and Assigns that he the aforesaid Thomas Green and his heirs all and singular the Land and premisses therein before mentioned or intended to be hereby Granted bargained and sold and every part or parcell thereof with their and every of their rights and Members and Appurtenances unto the aforesaid Jacob Waters his heirs or Assigns against all and every person or persons that shall or will lay any Claim thereto fully shall well Warrant and for ever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the aforesaid Thomas Green hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and Year above Written his Sign'd Seal'd and Delivered Thomas + Green (seal) in Presence of Mark Andrew Heugh Charles Jones On the aforegoing Deed were the following Endorsements to wit August the 21.st Day 1767 Received of Jacob Waters the sum of thirty five Pounds Current Money of Maryland being the Consideration Money mentioned his in the within Deed I say received P Me Thomas + Green Witness Andrew Heugh Charles Jones Mark Fred.k County August y.e 21.st 1767 Then came before us two of his Lordships Justices for Frederick County the within mentioned Thomas Green and Acknowledged the within Deed of Bargain and Sale and the Land and premisses therein mentioned to be the right and property of Jacob Waters According to the Tenor thereof and According to the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided And at the same time personally appeared before us Mary Green Wife of the said Thomas Green and she being privately examined out of the hearing of her said Husband did Acknowledge her Right of Dower in the said Land and premisses and that she did it willingly and freely without being induced thereto by fear or threats of or ill usage of her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged Before Andrew Heugh Charles Jones Sept.r 8 1767 Received of Jacob Walters two shillings Sterling for use of Lord Baltimore being Alienation fine on the within Land by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General J Brice Recorded September the 8.th 1767 6½ sides here ends Alienation List |
