(103) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Received on the Day and year first within written of and from the within David Lindsey Ward the sum of Ten Shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within Mentioned to be by him paid me James Dixon Ja Tilghman 3.d One the eleventh Day of March 1766 came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within James Tilghman and David Lindsey Ward and did severally acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Act and Deed to and for the uses intents and purposes within mentioned and the Lands and premisses therein mentioned and every part and parcel thereof to be the right and Estate of the within David Lindsey Ward his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the said Deed Recorded the 21.st July 1766 Geo Steuart Examined Maryland fs.t Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore To Robert Goldsborough of Dorchester County One of the Attornies of Our Provincial Court in our Province of Maryland Esq.r Greeting Out of the Special Trust and Confidence We have and do repose in your fidelity Diligence Circumspection and Prudence and in your Knowledge and understanding in the Law of Great Britain and this Province We have nominated and by these presents do Constitute Ordain and Appoint you the said Robert Goldsborough Our Attorney General and Prosecutor of our suite Please and Actions within our Province of Maryland whether Criminal or Civil Real Personal or Mixt or of what nature or kind soever to be prosecuted and attended by yourself in our Provincial Court of our said Province of Maryland and in such County Courts as you shall Practice and by discreet and able Persons as you shall for that purpose from time to time appoint or Depute under you in the Several County Courts of this province where you do not Practice of which you are to take due care as much as in you his and We do hereby Grant that you and the Persons do Deputed or to be Deputed under You be and are hereby permitted and Authorized to Demand require and receive to your and their proper uses and behoof all such Salarys Profits Fees and rewards as now are or hereafter shall be settled Granted or due by Law (that is to say) to yourself what is allowed in the Provincial Court and all the Courts where you Practice and to your Deputies what is allowed in the County Courts and because we would not that you should want any Assisstance Council or |
