411) is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout In Testimony whereof the Publick Seal of S.t Mary's County Court is hereto L S affixed this 6th Day of November Annoq Domini 1761 10 sides Recorded 22.th Feb.ry 1762 Rich.d Ward Key Clk I Elie Vallette do swear That I will not for Lucre or Malice delay any Person or Persons applying to me for any Business belonging to the Office I officiate in And that I will not directly or indirectly, ask, demand, take, or receive from or charge to, any such Persons, to my own use (Except my salary from my Principal) any Fee or Reward whatsoever, for any service I shall do as Clerk of the said Office: And also that in Making out the Office Fees, I will not wittingly or willingly charge other or higher Fees, Than limitted by The Act intituled " An act for amending the Staple of Tobacco, for preventing " Frauds in his Majesty's Customs & for limitation of " Officers Fees I hereby Certify that on the 17.th Day of March 1762 Elie Vallette one of the under Clerks of the Secretary's Office and Provincial Court came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County took the above written Oath and at the same Time took the several Oaths to the Government required by Law, repealed the Test, and subscribed the same and Oath of Abjuration before me W.m Steward Recorded 17.th Day of March 1762 Thus far accounted for with the Com.rs of the Loan Office |
