77) To all and singular Christian People to whome this present wrighting shall Come William Tankred of Arden in the County of York and kingdom of England Esq aged forty six yeares or thereabouts and Eliz.a his wife aged thirty six yeares or thereabouts one of the daughters of the Worshipfull Thomas Carter Late Citizen and alderman of the Citty of York Esq.r deceased Brother to Richard Carter late of Marsland unmaryed Mercer deceased Mary Morrell of Clareton in the said County of York and kingdom afd widdow aged eighty Yeares or thereabouts and Anne Beswick of Milton in the said County of York and Kingdom afd widdow aged seventy seven yeares or thereabouts two of the sisters of the s.d Ric.d Carter send Greeting &c Know Yee that the said W.m Tankred and Eliz.a his wife and Mary Morrell and Ann Besswick on the twenty sixth day of January Annorin Domine Anne Reqine Maque Britaine &d septimo Annoq Dm Milesimo septingentessuno octavo (sulo anglie) before the right hon.rble Ric.d Thompson Lord Mayor of the Citty of York in the kingdom af.d the notary publique and y.e wittneses under named did Joyntly and severally make ordain Constitute authorize and appoint and by these presents do Joyntly & severally make ordain Constitute authorize and appoint and in their stead and place putt Philemon Loyd and W.m Bladen of Maryland beyond the seas Esq.rs their true and Lawfull attorneys procurators actors and Factors in the names and to the uses of them the said severall Constituents giveing and by these presents Joyntly & severally granting unto ^their^ the said attorneys and either of them Joyntly and severally full power and Lawfull authority for them the said Constituents in their and any of their names and to their & each of their uses to ask Demand Levy sue for and by all Lawfull wayes and meanes to enter into and upon recover receive and take of and from Elizabeth Carter relict and adm.rx of Ric.d Carter late of Marsland af.d Mercer af.d deceased and of & from all and every other person and persons whome itt shall or may Concerne all and singular Negroes Slaves Messuages houses Lands Tennements goods Chattells effects estate and things whatsoever to them or any of them the said Constituents due oweing belonging or in any wise appertaining as being kindred or relations of the said Richard Carter deceased or for or by what other reason or meanes soever nothing excepted nor reserved and to (that) |
