177) wrighting recorded in the prerogative office of this pvince gave and devised the said parcel of land to Charity Courts daughter of John Courts late of Charles County Esq.r deced and sister to John Courts party to these psents and her heirs for ever which sd Charity afterwds died without Issue and the said land Descended to the said Jn.o Courts as brother and heir of the sd Charity And wheras the sd Charles Lord Propry of the sd province by his pattent under his great seale of the said province bearing date the fourteenth day of May Anno Dom sixteen hundred ninety five granted unto the sd John Courts Esq.r all that tract of Land Called Chance lyeing in Calvert County begining at a bounded hiccory tree it being the north East Corner tree of the said Land and runing south and by west one hundred thirty two perches to a bounded white oak standing in the Line of a parcel of land called Courseys land then with the sd land east forty eight per to a bounded Ash tree standing in the line of a parcell of land then in y.e poss.n of Edward Winman then north forty perches to the northerwest Corner tree of the sd Winmans Land then east One hundred and forty perches to y.e north Corner tree of the sd Winmans Land then north & by east ninety one per.s thence with a streight Line to the first bounded tree Containing and now laid out for one hundred and seven acres more or less which last menconed parcell of land the said John Courts Esq.r by his last will and testament in wrighting bearing date in Aprill Anno Dom seventeen hundred and one gave & devised to the sd John Courts party to these presents his heirs and Assignes for ever Now this Indenture Wittnesseth that the sd John Courts for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds sterling to him ^aforesaid^ by the sd Daniel Dullany before |
