149 Alderman have caused the Seale of the office of Mayoralllity of this Citty to be hereunto put & affixed Dated in London the fourth day of Feb.ry Anno Dom 1708 & in the seventh yeare of the Reigne of our Sover^e^igne Lady Anne by the Grace of God of Great Brittaine France & Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c Smith (Seale) 1223 Copy $1.80 To all and singular ^Christian^ People to whome this present writeing Shall Come William Tankred of Arden in the County of Yorke and Kingdom of England Esq.r aged forty six yeares or thereabouts and Eliz.a his wife aged thirty six ^yeares^ or thereabouts one of the daughters of the worshipfull Thomas Carter late Citizen and alderman of the Citty of York Esq deceased brother to Richard Carter late of Marsland in Maryland mercer deceased Mary Morrell of Charleton in the said County of York and Kingdom afd Widdow aged Eighty yeares or thereabouts and Anne Beswicke of Miton in the Said County of York and Kingdom afd widdow aged seventy seven yeares or thereabouts two of the sisters of the said Richard Carter send Greeting &c Know Yee that the said W.m Tanckred and Eliz.a his wife and Mary Morrell and Anne Beswick on the Twenty sixth day of January annorm Domine Anne Regine Magne Britainie &c septimo Annoq Dm Milesimo septingentisimo octavo (stilo Angliæ) before the right hon.ble Rich.d Thompson Esq Lord Mayor of the Citty of Yorke in the Kingdom afd the notary publick and the wittnesses undernamed did Joyntly & Severally make ordaine Constitute authorize and appoint and by these presents do Joyntly & Severally make ordaine Constitute authorize and appoint and in their stead & place put Philemon Loyd & Will.m Bladen of Marsland in Maryland beyond the seas Esq.r their true & Lawful attornyes (Pcurators) |
