                   Know all men by these psents
       that I John Covent of Cetty of Bristoll
       in the Kingdom of England mariner
       sonne and heire of Absolon Covant
       of the same place Decd have made
       ordeined Constituted and appointed &
       by these psance have made ordeined
       Constituted and appointed William
       Taylard of Annapolis in the Pvince
       of Maryland my True and Lawfull
       attorney for me and in my name to
       aske Demand Sue for recover &
       receive of all manner of persons
       whatsoever all some and Sumes of
       money  To have and other things
       whatsoever Due and oweing to me
       the said John Covant or unto my father
       Absolon Covant or Either of us Either by
       Bill Bond Booke account or otherwise
       And upon payment of the same or
       any part thereof for me and in my
       name to acquitt or Discharge the
       Same and upon denyall or otherwise
       paym.t thereof to sue for and recover
       the same by Due Course of Law or
       otherwise as to my said attorney
