The above bills delivered in Court Except James Bowlings & Henry Bronner On the back side of the aforegoing List was written viz.t Novemb.r 26.th 1678 Received then of Nicholas Painter Cler be of the Provinciall Court the within menconed bills except James Bowling bill p me Joshua Doyne Wittness Robert Ridgely This Indenture made the One and twentieth day of February in the Second yeare of the Dominion of the Right Hon.ble Charles Lord Baltemore &c Annoq Dom one thousand six hundred seaventy six Between W.m Medley of Newtowne in the County of Saint Maryes in the Province of Maryland planter on the one part and Steven Murty of Waterford in the same County Gent on the other part Wittnesseth that the said William Medley as well for and in Consideracon of the full quantity of Twenty thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable Tobacco in Caske well and truely paid him or secured to be paid as alsoe for divers other good causes and Consideracons him thereunto moveing hath given Granted aliened bargained and sold and by these p.rsents doth give grant alien bargaine and sell unto the said Stephen Murty All that tract of land lyeing on the East side of Brettons Bay neere the head thereof Begining att a marsh by the the said Spring North into the woods for the Length of Six hundred perches on the North with a Line drawne west from the End of the former lyne into the fresh runn of the said Bay On the South and west with the said runn and Bay Containing by Estimation One thousand and One hundred Acres more or lesse (Excepting One hundred Acres of of land part of the said Eleaven hundred Acres heretofore sold and granted and now in the possession or Occupation of John Browne) together with all that his water Mill Comonly called or knowne by the name of Brettons passages easments profitts comodityes advantages emoluments & appurtences whatsoever to the said Mill and other the premisses by the sepresents Granted or any of them or to any part or parcell thereof incident belonging or appurtaineing together alsoe with all and singuler the houses Edifices building Yards gardens Fences woods Underwoods deeds escripts writeings and Emoluments to the said One thousand Acres of Land the premisses with their and every of their appurtennces before by these p.rsents bargained and sold or meant or menconed or intended to be thereby Granted alienated bargained and any or every part and parcell thereof unto the said Stephen Murty his heyres and assignes To the only proper use and behoofe of him the said Stephen Murty his heyres and assignes for Ever And the said Willm Medley for himselfe his heyres Ex.rs and Adm.rs and assignes |
