673) 683 To all to whom this p.rsent writing or Letter of Attorney shall come or may Concern Greeting Know yee That Marÿ Anne Dehinaÿossa otherwise Viz bee his Widow resideing in the Citty of Bridges doe hereby Constitute and appoint my loving Brother in Law Robert Carvile of S.t Marÿ County in the Province of Maryland my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my name to bargain and sell all my Right Title and Interest of in or to all that parcell of Land called Poplars Island lying in the County of Kent in the same Province of Maryland appertaining by the death of my Father to such person or persons and for sume or sumes of Tobacco as my said Attorney shall be thought meete and the Deed or Deeds of the same soe to be made for me and in my name to seale Deliver and before any Judges or Justices to acknowledge and all such sum or sums of Tobacco as shall be due to me for my share or proportion of the purchase money to be payd for the same or any other sum or sums of Tobacco due to me from my brother Alexander Dehenyossa or any other whatsoever in the said Province in Maryland for me and in my name and to my use to aske Demand Receive sue for and Recover and Acquittance and discharge for the same in my name to Give Seale and Deliver Giveing hereby to my said Attorney my full power and authority touching and concerning the premisses to doe execute and perform in as ample manner as if I were personally present and what my said Attorney shall lawfully doe in and touching the p.rmisses I doe hereby Ratifie and Confirme In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the August &.th day of in the year of our Lord One Thousand six hundred eighty and eight subsigned Maria Anna Doheinossa sealed with a seale thereupon printed and in the Margent under is written sealed and delivered in the presence of us subsigned John Walegrove and Adam Spencer English Merchants of Judges in Flanders This Copie accords and agrees with the protocoll enregistred in the Booke of the office Notariall after Collection done by the underwritten Notarie Publique under whom the above menconed protocoll is resting & resideing in the Citty of Bridges scituate in Flanders In Witness my hand this &vin.th day of Ober 1692 (stilo Flandrie) Veoplancke Irebts pub the old Record 29.o Janÿ 1694 P Henry Wriothesley Clk 1692 These are to Certifye all whom it doth Concern That the Twentie Fifth day of October Came before us the Chiefe Officers of their Majesties Customes in the Port of Bean Marise Richard Glanvill Master or Comander of the Ship or Vessell Called the Pink Dove Burthen Fourtie Tuns or thereabouts mounted with Noe Guns Navigated with Six Men Plantation Built and produced a Certificate and made Oath that at Pattuxent he became bound to their Ma.ties use on or about the 27.th day of June 1692 with Condicon that all such Suggars Tobacco Cotton Wooll Indico Ginger Fustick or other dying Wood of the growth production or Manufactures of any English Plantation in America Asia or Africa as should be loaden on board the said Ship or Vessell or any of the said English Plantations should be brought to some Port of England Wales or Port or Town of Berwick upon Tweed and be there unloaden and put on shore the dangers of the seas only excepted And it is hereby further Certified that there hath been |
