       thereupon built and erected to them the said William Dent & Joseph
       Bullett theire Ex.rs Adm.rs and assignes from the day of the date of
       these p.rsents for and dureing the and to the full end and terme of
       Four Score yeares from hence next ensueing and fully to be compleat
       and ended Together with free agresse and regresse to the said Water Mill
       wither by land through through any mans Land next adjoining or else
       by water together with liberty to fell cutt downe & carry away either
       by land or watter any timber fitt for building of the sd Mill other
       then timber fitt to splitt into Clapboards for and dureing the terme
       afsd according to the true intent and meaning of the sd Act of
       Assembly Yeilding and paying yearely and every yeare dureing
       the said terme to William Barton of Charles County planter
       in the sd Inquisition Menconed to bee the p.rsent possessor of the
       said Land his heyres Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assignes the Rent or sume
       of one hundred & Fifty pounds of good sound M.rchantable Tobacco
       at some convenient place in Mattawoman afsd In testimony
       whereof wee have caused the greate Seale of our sd Province
       to bee afixed to these p.rsents Dated at our Citty of S.t Maryes
       and Witness our Trusty and well beloved Lionell Copley Esq.r our
       Cap.t Gen.ll and Cheife Governo.r of our sd Province of Maryland
       this 13.th day of February and in the 5.th yeare of our Reign

       Know all Men by these p.rsents that I Edward Midleton for
       divers good causes and consideracons me moveing have made ordained
       deputed and constituted by these p.rsents doe ordaine apoynt and constitute
       my Loveing Freind Thomas Grunwin of the Citty of S.t Maryes My true
       & Lawfull attorney for me and in my Name & to the use behooffe & Benefitt
       of Philip Lynes to acknowledge either before the Provinciall Court or two
       Justices of the same or before the County Court of S.t Maryes County or two Justices
       thereof qualifyed to take acknowledgment according to Law one Deed sale
       bearing date the 20.th day of this Instant Feb made from the said Edward
       Midleton to the sd Philip Lynes and his heyres of one tract of Land Lyeing
       and being in S.t Maryes County Contayning one hundred acres & is knowne
       & called by the Name of Evans reserve & was by me bought of Edward Evans
       and that the same is my Deed and by me signed sealed and delivered as
       my Act and Deed to or to the use of the sd Philip Lynes and his heyres & assignes
       for Ever and all other Matters relateing to the p.rmisses in order to the
       Reccording of the sd Deed and sure makeing the sd Land to the sd Philip
       Lynes & his heires to act doe & p.rforme as fully and effectually as I myselfe
       might or could doe p.rsonnally holding for firme all and whatsomever
       my attorney shall doe or cause to be done by vertue hereof Witness my
       hand and seale this 22.th day of February 1691
