490 (480 of the said Henry and Susanna to the uses within declared And the said Henry and Susanna have remised and made quit Clayme thereof to the said Vincent and Anthony and their Heires to the uses within menconed And further they the said Henry and Susanna have graunted for them and their Heires that the said lands within menconed to the uses aforesaid against them the said Henry and Susanna and their Heires they will warrant for ever And for this Acknowledgement remise quite clayme and Agreement the said Vincent and Anthony have given them the said Henry and Susanna five shillings sterl Taken before us the said Recorded y.e 26.th September 1688 Henry Lowe W.m Digges Susanna Lowe Nicholas Sewall William Loury of S.t Michaels Hundred in S.t Maries County his marke a Crape and a hole in the Right Ear and an Over half and under Keel in the left Ear This Indenture Made the Twelfth Day of October in the Thirteenth Year of the Dominion of the Right Hon.ble Charles Absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c.a and in the Year of Our Lord God One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty and Eight Between John Addison of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland Gen.t on the one Part and Robert Hopkins of Sommersett County in the Province aforesaid on the other Part Wittnesseth That the said John Addison for and in Consideracon of the full & Just Summe of Eleaven Thousand Pounds of Good sound and every way well Condiconed Merchantable Tobacco & Caske to Containe the same to him in hand Paid by the said Robert Hopkins att or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof hee the said John Addison doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully sattisfyed ^&^ thereof and of every Part thereof doth Clearly Acquitt Exonerate and Discharge the said Robert Hopkins his Heirs Execut.rs and Admi.rs and every of them for ever by these Presents hath Given Granted Aliened Bargained Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents doth fully clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Alien Bargaine Sell Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the said Robert Hopkins All that Tract & Parcell of Land commonly knowne and Called Cagers Island scituate Lying and being upon the Eastern Shoar standing in the Bay bounded as followeth Begining at a Marked Oake standing west and runing for breadth by a Lyne drawne East to a Marked Oake seaventy five pches Thence Runing by a Marsh Belonging to Anamessex and Bay by a Line drawne south to the streights mouth standing against Pokeamoke River five Hundred pches to a Marked Oake for Length and Running along by the streights Mouth west seaventy five pches for breadth and thence drawing a line North along the great Bay to the first Marked Tree five Hundred pches containing and Laid out for Two Hundred Acres be the same more or lesse And alsoe all and singular the Houses Edifices and Buildings Gardens Hereditaments & Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Land belonging or any wayes Appertaining (Royall Mines Excepted) which said Tract or pcell of Land the said John Addison lately purchased of Jonathan Clarke of the County of Westmorland in Virginia and Rebecca Clark |
