       given alsoe and by these presents doe give to the said Robert Carvile full
       Power and Authority to make Ordaine and Depute such Clerks and Officers under
       him in any of our Courts as to him shall seem meet soe that our businesse shall not
       be neglected or Omitted from time to time Rendring unto us or to our Lieutenant
       Generall or Cheif Governour for the tyme being a true and perfect Accompt of
       what shall accrew to us And the better to enable him the said Robert Carvile for
       our service of Attorney Generall as aforesaid Wee doe thereby Authorize and
       Impower him the said Robert Carvile to Administer to any person or persons and
       in any place within our said Province of Maryland any Oath or Oathes and to
Henry Darnall   Execute the Authority & office of a Justice of peace concerning any matter or thing
    Keeper         as Effectuall to all intents & purposes as any of our Justices of peace of our said
       Province of Maryland may or can doe the same In Testimony whereof wee have
       caused these our Letters to be made Pattents Given at our City of S.t Maryes under
       the Great seal of Our said Province the Third Day of Aprill in the Thirteenth year
       of Our Dominion over Our said Province &c Annoq Domini One Thousand six
       hundred Eighty & Eight Wittnesse our trusty & well beloved Cousin Henry Darnall
       Esq Keeper of Our Great seal

       This Indenture made the Eleaventh day of August Anno Domini 1686 And in
       the second yeare of Our Soveraigne Lord James the second by the grace of God of England
       Scotland France & Ireland King Defender of the faith &c  Betweene Robert Burman of
       Maryland at present in London Merchant of the one part and James Dryden of London
       Merchant of the other part Wittnesseth That the said Robert Burman for and in consideracon
       of the sum of five shillings of Lawfull money of England to him in hand paid by the said
       James Dryden att and Before the ensealing and delivery hereof The Receipt whereof the
       said Robert Burman doth hereby acknowledge and himselfe to be therewith fully
       satisfyed and paid hath for him his Heires Executors and Administrators given granted
       aliened bargained sold enfeoffed & Confirmed And by these presents doth fully cleerly and
       absolutely give grant alien bargaine sell enfeoffe & confirme unto the said James Dryden
       his Heires & Assignes All that parcell or Tract of Land conteineing one hundred and twenty
       Acres more or lesse formerly laid out for William Batten and Thomas Thomas Menconed to
       be conveyed to the said Robert Burman by Charles Gorsuch of Baltemore County in the
       Province of Maryland planter by deed bearing date the second day of June Anno Dom
       1685 and entred on Record in Baltemore County aforesaid June Anno Domini 1685 Libro E
       fol 191 And alsoe all that parcell or Tract of Land called the Cross formerly laid out by
       Andrew Skinner deputy survey.r for Warner Shudall menconed to be conveyed to the said
       Robert Burman by Thomas Scudamore as Attorney of John Sudall by deed bearing date
       the six & twentieth of February 1684 and entred on Record in Baltemore County aforesd
       Libro E fol 147 Anno 1685 Togeather with all and singuler the Rights Members
       Jurisdiccons priviledges Issues Rents profitts Benefitts Messages houses Edifices Buildings
       goods Houshold goods Crop or Cops Timber and Timber trees wayes passages Woods or
       Underwoods fences orchards Gardens comodities and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said
       two severall parcells or Tracts of Lands & either of them now belonging and apperteining
       or hereafter to belong or apperteine to the same or either of them with all Manner of
       Improvm.ts & Increase of servants & cattle And all & every the plantacons lands Tenem.ts &
       Hereditam.ts in Maryland by the said Robert Burman purchased of the said Charles Gorsuch
       Thomas Scudamore & John Shudall or any or either of them And all the estate Right
       Title Inheritance claime & demand whatsoever of him the said Robert Burman in & to
       the same with all deeds Writings Pattents Evidences Chirographies of Fines Exemplificacons
       of Recovies & Boundaries touching or concerning the said two parcells or Tracts of Land &
       p.rmisses or any part thereof Togeather alsoe with all the servants Horses Hogs & cattle
       named & menconed in the Inventary hereunto annexed which said two severall pcells
       or Tracts of Land are scituate lyeing & being on the North side of Potapscoe River in the
       County of Baltemore and are now in the tenure or occupacon of the said Robert
       Burman To Have and to hold the said Two severall parcells or Tracts of Land and all &
