455) 465 Sealed and delivered Memorandum That this fifteenth day of June 1687 Came the within by the Within Named Named George Talbot & Sarah his wife and Acknowledged the within George Talbot & Sarah Indenture to be their acts & deed And the said Sarah being by us underwritten his wife in y.e Presence of secretly and solely Examined Declared her free & voluntary Consent to Mich Taney the within Graunt Henry Brent Henry Darnall Hugh Reyly James Pattison Tho Grunwin Came into Co^u^rt Thomas Grunwin as Atto.ry of Coll Talbot and acknowledged the within Deed to the use of the within Named Philip Lynes Edw Boothby Clk Maryland fs Whereas George Talbot of Cæcill County Esq & his wife for a valuable Considercon hath bargained and sold unto Philip Lynes of S.t Maries County Merchant A certaine tract of Land called Bellaconell and part of another tract Called Freindship both lying in Cæcill County in the province aforesaid As by Indentures of Graunt bargaine and sale bearing date or mentioning to beare date the seaventh day of this present Month of June made betweene the said George Talbot & Sarah his wife on the one part and the said Philip Lynes on the other part may appeare Now Know all men by these presents That wee the said George Talbot and Sarah the wife of the said George being now bound upon a voyage out of this province of Maryland Have made ordained constituted and appoynted and by these presents doe make ordaine constitute and appoint our loveing freinds George Thompson & Thomas Grunwin of S.t Maries County Gent Joyntly or Either of them severally for us and in our stead and places in and before the provinciall Court of this province or before two Justices of the same Court To acknowledge that the said recited Indenture of Graunt bargaine and sale is the proper Act & deed of us & Either of us and by us signed sealed & delivered and all other matters & things to doe & performe relating to the premisses as fully & Effectually as wee our selves might doe personally Holding for firme whatsoever our said Attorneys or Either of them shall lawfully doe by vertue hereof In witnes whereof wee have hereunto put our hands & seales this fifteenth day of June 1687 Geo Talbot Sealed and delivered Sarah Talbot (sealed in the presence of Recorded March the 6.th 1687 Henry Darnall R Tull Clk Henry Brent Know all men by these presents that I Richard Peacock of Graig in the County of Lymerick in the Kingdome of Ireland gent have hereby assigned ordeined & made and in my stead & place put & constituted my trusty & well beloved freind Robert Carvile of the City of S.t Maries in the Province of Maryland gent my true & lawfull attorney for mee & in my name & stead & to my use to ask sue for leavy require recover & receive all & every such debts sume or sumes of moneys or quantities of Tobacco as are now due oweing bellonging or apperteyning unto mee by any manner of wayes or meanes whatsoever from any person or persons whatsoever within the Province of Maryland or Virginia & perticularly to ask for recover & receive of M.r Richard Smyth of Petuxant or the Executors successors of M.r John Rousby of Tredaven Creeke in Talbot County in the province aforesaid decd All such bills bonds notes & accounts of moneys or tobacco which I left with the said John Rousby 17.th Aprill 1683 a List whereof under his owne hand is hereby sent Giveing & graunting unto my |
