431 (422 Md this 28 off Novemb.re 1685 Came Philip Willian and acknowledged the within Written Ind.r to be his act & Deed before is under written the day & yeare aforsaid W.m Digges Edward Pye This Indenture made the first Daÿ of December in the twelfth yeare of the Dominion of the Right honorab Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore &c annoq.r Dm 1686 Betweene John Llewellin of S.t Marys Countÿ Gent off the one part and John Tanner of Calvert Countÿ merchant of the other part Witnesseth That for and in Consideracon of the sume of fourtÿ five thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable tobacco in Casq.r to the said John Llewellin in hand paid at and before the Ensealing hereof by the said John Tanner the receipt whereof he the said John Llewellin doth hereby acknowledge accordingly and himselfe thereof and therewith to be fully satisfied and thereof and Everÿ part thereof doth Clearly acquitt Exonerate and Discharge the said John Tanner his heires Executores and adm.rs and Every of them By these presents hee the said John Llewellin hath granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents doth fully Clearly and absolutely Grant bargaine sell alien Enfeoffe release and Confirme unto the said John Tanner his heires and assignes All that tract or parcell of Land Called Enfeild Chace Lyeing in Calvert County on the Weste side of the North branch of Potuxent river one Mile from the said Branch begining at a bounded oake tree being the Westermost bound tree of a parcell of Land formerly Laid out for James White of ann arundell County Called Edlington and runing with the Line of the said Land North one hundred & fifty perches to the head Line of the Land of Gabriell Parrotts ^called Parrotts^ Thickett and runing North one hundred and fifty perches to the Land of John Howerton Called Howertons rainge then bounding on the said Land runing North North west one hundred perches to a bounded oake standing in the said Howertons Line then West six hundred fourty five perches bounding on the West by a line Drawne south four hundred and five perches then with a streight Line to the first bounded tree the same Conteineing and Laid out for sixteene hundred acres bee the same More or Less as by a Patent or grant thereof to the said John Llewellin bearing date the first Day off Octob.r anno Domini one thousand six hundred Eighty three itt doth and may More fully and at Large appeare together with all Woods Underwoods timber & trees and all other proffitts Comoditys and appurtenences to the said sixteene hundred acres of Land belonging or in any wise apperteineing To have and to hold the said tract and parcell of Land herby Granted or intended to be granted unto the said John Tanner his heires and assignes to the only proper use and behoofe off the said John Tanner his heires and assignes for Ever And the said John Llewellin for him selfe his heires Executors adm.rs and assignes doth Covenant promise and grant to and with the said John Tanner his heires Ex.rs adm.rs and assignes and to and With Every of them by these presents that hee the said John Llewellin his heires Ex.rs adm.rs and assignes all and singular the above mentioned to bee hereby bargained premisses with thappurtences and Every part and parcell thereof unto the said John Tanner his heires and assignes for to and for his and theire owne proper use and Behoofe as aforesaid from and against him the said John Llewellin his heires |
