395) 404 This Indenture made the Eighth day of October in the Tenth yeare of the Dom of the Right hono.ble Charles Lord Baltemore &c Annoq Domine one thousand six hundred Eighty Five Betweene Vincent Lowe of Talbott County in the Province of Maryland Esq of the one part and Charles Quigley of S.t Maries County in the same Province Gent of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Vincent Lowe for and in Consideracon of the sume of Fifteene thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable tobaccoe to him the said Vincent Lowe by the said Charles Quigley to him in hand paid before the ensealing delivery of these p.rsents the receipt whereof the said Vincent Lowe doth doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doe Clearly acquitt exonerate & discharge the said Charles Quigley his Exec.rs Adm.rs & assignes firmely for Ever by these p.rsents Doe given granted bargained sold assigned & sett over and by these p.rsents doe give grant bargaine sell assigne and sett over unto the said Charles Quigley his heires & assignes for Ever All that tract or parcell of Land Called Quigleys grove Scituate Lyeing and being in Ceecill County in the said Province of Maryland on the Easte side of Elk River in the said County Beginning att a bound tree of the land of Griffith Jones Called the Griffen standing by the road of Elk river thence runing with the said roade Northerly to the great fresh run that goes into Elk river thence Easterly as the said runn goeth five hundred & fifty perches then south south east Untill it intersect an East north East line drawne from the first bound tree Containing one thousand acres more or lesse Together with all rights proffitts benefitts and priviledges to the same belonging or any wayes appertaining (Royall mines excepted) To have and to hold the aforesaid One thousand Acres of Land and the appurtences to the same belonging or in any way appurtaining unto him the said Charles Quigley his heires and assignes for ever To the only proper use and behoofe of him the said Charles Quigley his heires and assignes for Ever And the said Vincent Lowe for himselfe and his Execto.s the said land and p.rmisses with the appurt.rnces unto the said Charles Quigley and his heires against him the said Vincent Lowe and his heires and assignes for Ever shall and will for Ever warrant and defend by these p.rsents And the said Charles Quigley his heires and assignes and Every of them shall & may for Ever hereafter have hold use occupy possess and Enjoye the aforesaid Land and p.rmisses with the appurtences without the lett suite trouble disturbance or molestacon of him the said Vincent Lowe his heires and assignes And without the lett suite trouble Evicon or molestacon of all or any pson or psons whatsoever lawfully Claiming or to Clayme any Estate right title or Interest thereunto from by or under him the said Vincent Lowe his heires or assignes for from by or under him or any or Either of them In wittnes whereof the partyes first above named have Interchangeably hereunto sett their hands and seales the day & yeare first above written 1685 Vincent Lowe Sealed & delivered in the p.rsence of M.r John Woodward Came y.e above mentioned the hono.ble Coll Vincent Low and Roger Meredith acknowledged the above mentioned to be his act & deed before us W.m Taylard Jn.o Baker Hen Darnall W.m Digges |
