347) 356 and Westminster or one of them or above five miles from their respective habitacons And the said Richard Pery for the Consideracons aforesaid Hath made ordained and Constituted and in his stead and place put And by these presents Doth make ordaine & constitute and in his place & stead put Clement Hill of Clements bay in S.t Maries County in the said province of Maryland Gent and Thomas Greenwell of the same County Gent & either of them joyntly and severally the true & lawfull Attorney & Attorneyes in this behalfe of him the said Richard Pery for him & in his name to Enter into & upon the said farmes plantacons lands tenements hereditaments & reall pmisses or some part thereof in the name of the whole & possession thereof for him & in his name to taken And being soe in possession full peaceably and quiet possession livery & seizin thereof to make give and deliver to the said Thomas Plowden & George Plowden & either of them according to the forme & effect of these presents Ratifying & Confirming whatsoever his said Attorney or Attorneyes shall lawfully doe in & about the p.rmisses In Witnes whereof to two parts of this present Indenture the said Richard Pery and to one part thereof the said Thomas Plowden & George Plowden have set their hands & seales the day & yeare first above written Sealed & delivered in the pnce Ri Pery (sigill) of us Robert Hill Thomas Holliday W Smith Jeremy Mount Maryland fs Aprill the 10.th 1685 This day came before me Thomas Holliday and did depose That he did see Richard Pery signe seale & deliver this deed being sworne before me Tho Truman Ent.rd upon Reccord the 25.th day of November Annoq Dm 1685 P Tho Grunwin Clk Maryland fs This Indenture made the Twenty eight day of May in the Tenth Yeere of y.e Dominion of the Right Hon.ble Charles Lord Baltemore Absolute Lord and Proprietary over this Province of Maryland &c And in the Yeare of our Lord One Thousand six hundred Eighty and five Between Jacob Lockerman & Elenor his Wife of Dorchester County in the Province aforesaid of the one part And Phillip Lynes of S.t Maryes County in the Province aforesaid of the other part Wittnesseth That the said Jacob Lockerman and Elenor his Wife for and in Consideration of y.t full and just sum of Three Thousand Pounds of Tobacco to them in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these p.rsents by the sd Phillip Lynes y.e receipt whereof the sd Jacob Lockerman and Elenor his wife doe hereby acknowledge and themselves therewith fully satisfied Contented and paid & thereof & therefrom and of ev.ry part and parcell thereof doe fully clearly and absolutely Exonerate acquitt and discharge the said Phillip Lynes his heires Exe.rs Admistra.rs and ev.ry of them by these p.rsents And also for divers other good causes and Considerations them hereunto more especialy knowing have given granted Aliened bargayned sold enfeoffed and confirmed And by these p.rsents doe fully clearly and absolutely give grant alien bargayn sell enfeoff and confirm unto him the said Phillip Lynes his heires and Assignes forever [The moyety or one half of] All that Tract or parcell of Land called (Minshalls adventure) Lying on the East side of Chesseapeak Bay in the County of Somersett in a River called Potomack on the north side of said River in a Creek called dividing Creek on the Northermost side of the said Creek near to the head thereof Beginning for length at the lowermost side of the Indian feild att a Bridge that is laid in the Creek near the middle of a small ridge of high Land cometh close to the Creek side and from the said Bridge or middle of a small Ridge aforesaid running up into the woods southwest five hundred Thirty four Pearches bounded on the west with a line drawn Northwest from the end of the former Lyne for breadth one hundred and Twenty Pearches bounded on the North with a lyne drawn North East from the end of the former lyne for length five hundred Thryty four pearches bounded on the East with a Creek and a strait lyne drawn up the Creek side from the end of the former lyne one hundred and Twenty pearches till itt intersects the the parellel from the first bounder Containing and now laid out for four hundred Acres more or less Together with all and singular itts rights members Jurisdictions wayes Easments |
