32 The seaventeenth day September 1675 Recd then of M.r John Vanheck One Punchion of Lyme Juice part of A hhd of Lyme Juyce 2 barrells of Rum One bagg of Ginger Conteyning 165.l nett and part of Another belonging to the Estate of M.r William Slowett decd Witnes my hand the Day & yeare abovesaid Jo Turpin Recd the 15.th of March 1675 of M.r Thomas Marley by the hands of Joseph Seayre the Sume of four hundred & Twelve pounds of Tobacco Due to the Estate of William Hewett deceased I say Recd 412.l Tob p Jo Turpin I Thomas Morley Doe hereby Depose upon my Ooath that I have paid the above sd sume of 412.l of Tobacco according to the Above Mentioned Receipt Wittnesse my hand the 12.th of June 1677 Tho Marley Sworne before me the same Day Joseph Hopkins This Indenture made the tenth day of Aprill in the second yeare of the Dominion of Charles Absolute Lord & Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron of Baltemore &c Annoq Dom 1677 Betweene William Guyther of S.t Maryes County in the Province of Maryland on the One part and Robert Mason of the same County and Province of the other part Witnesseth That the said William Guither for and in Consideracon of Eight Thousand pounds of Good Tobacco & Caske to him in hand paid att & before the sealing & Delivery of these p.rsents by the said Robert Mason the Receipt whereof the said William Guyther doth hereby Acknowledge & himselfe therewith fully Satisfied Contented and paid And thereof & of Every part & parcell thereof doth hereby Absolutely & Clearly Exonerate Acquit & Discharge the said Robert Mason his heires Exec.rs Adm.rs & Assignes for Ever By these p.rsents hath Given Granted Bargained Aliened Sold Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these p.rsents doth fully Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Bargaine Sell Alien Enfeoffe & Confirme unto him the said Robert Mason his heires & Assignes for Ever All that parcell or Tract of Land Comonly Knowne by the name of Broad Neck in S.t Michaells hundred in the County aforesaid being bounded as Followes Beginning upon A point of the West side of Beaver Swampe from a Marked Hickory & Running upp the maine branch of said Swampe unto the Outward Line of the said William Guithers and Running North Along the said Outward Line to the head of the maine branch of the Muddy Pond and Downe the said Branch of the Muddy Pond unto A Marked Redd Oake & Running by the Muddy Pond from the Marked Redd Oake to the first mentioned Tree A Marked Hickory with Every part or parcell of Land that Lyes betwixt the Line of M.r Thomas Griffin & the line of M.rs Elizabeth Decost Contayneing & now laid out for Two hundred Acres more or Lesse Together with all & singuler the Rights & benefitts thereunto belonging or in anywise Concerning the premisses or any part or parcell of them with all houses Edefices Buildings Orchards & Gardens whatsoever thereunto belonging with all and Singular the Rights Members Jurisdictions Priveledges Profitts or Benefitts appertaineing or belonging thereunto To have & to hold the Said Tract or parcell of Land & all and Singuler the Bargained premisses unto him the said Robert Mason his heires and Assignes Against all manner of psonn or psonns whatsoever Claimeing by from & under him them & Every of them shall & will for Ever hereafter warrant & Defend him the said Robert Mason his heyres & Assignes Yeilding and payeing therefore Yearly unto the said William Guyther his heyres Exec.rs or Adm.rs Forty Dayes before or Forty dayes after the Nativity of Our Lord One barrell of Indian Corne And in Case said Rent be behind tenn dayes after the Afore Mentioned time of payment (that |
